Summary:
v
Responsible for identifying learning needs, developing and reviewing content, and designing and evaluating education curriculum for healthcare professionals on blood cancer disease, treatment and side effects management. Work with the Senior Director, Professional Education & Engagement to plan and implement programs and reach out to healthcare professionals to engage their participation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
v
- Identify learning needs of healthcare professionals (HCPs) to help them stay current and maintain the continuing professional competence on treatment and survivorship for blood cancers.
- Design and plan curriculum for blood cancer continuing education programs targeted to nurses, physicians, social workers, pharmacists and other HCPs involved in the treatment of patients with blood cancer.
- Develop, implement and evaluate in-person and online courses based on learning needs assessments, organizational priorities and other informational sources.
- Utilize principles of adult learning in all aspects of educational activities.
- Keep current on developments in blood cancer disease, treatment, and side effect management, as well as continuing education accreditation requirements and preferred modes of learning; align trends in blood cancer and continuing education with professional education strategy.
- Select and invite presenters based on their expert knowledge, experience, and presentation skills. Work with the presenters to plan and implement courses.
- Ensure requirements for continuing education accreditation are met in planning, implementation and record keeping.
