Dean of the School of Nursing and Allied Health
SUNY Empire State College seeks applications for an inspiring, experienced, and accomplished leader to serve as Dean of the School of Nursing and Allied Health at our Saratoga, NY location.
The Dean reports to the Provost/Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and serves as a member of the Provost's Council. The Dean is responsible for academic policy and academic quality for the School of Nursing and Allied Health. As a member of the leadership team, the Dean plays an active role in developing and implementing the College's strategic goals, including the development and presentation of a budget which will sufficiently meet the academic needs of the program by providing adequate funds for salaries, facilities and instructional resources.
- A Doctorate in Nursing or Allied Health from a regionally accredited institution with responsible experience in academic administration at the departmental or similar level and successful experience in college or university level teaching.
- If the Doctorate is in Nursing, candidate also needs to have an active New York State Registered Nursing license and strong understanding of nursing education.
- Demonstrated success in obtaining federal, state, or private grants.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the broader educational and professional communities, including health service providers and community-based organizations.
