Dean, College of Nursing
The University of Massachusetts Amherst seeks a visionary and entrepreneurial Dean to lead the College of Nursing (CON). CON combines the intimacy of a smaller college, the academic depth of a top-30 nursing program, and the ambition of an R1 public university. Recent initiatives have propelled CON's historical service missions in exciting directions, with collaborations with the College of Engineering and the Institute for Applied Life Sciences, as well as the recently renovated nursing space in Springfield, MA.
This is an opportunity to lead a well-regarded and well-funded college, extend its influence, and shape its future as a leader in nursing education. The University‘s strategic plan sets forth goals for student success, partnerships on and off campus, knowledge in service to society, and the strengthening of a community of diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect. With its longstanding emphasis on public health nursing and its commitment to social justice, CON will play a critical role in this effort.
