The University of Florida (UF) seeks a Dean and Chief Academic Officer of the College of Nursing (UFCON). UF has 16 colleges on its main campus in Gainesville and a rapidly growing campus in Jacksonville, the Southeast’s largest academic health center, and one of the nation’s most comprehensive agriculture and natural resources programs.
The University seeks an outstanding nurse leader who will implement a bold strategy for UFCON that capitalizes on strengths like UF’s academic health center, world-class research and academic programs, innovative AI initiatives, and commitment to addressing health inequities. Candidates will have distinguished administrative, academic, research, practice, and service achievement and qualify for appointment as a tenured full professor in UFCON. They must be a registered nurse (RN) with a graduate degree in nursing and an earned doctorate who has a current or is eligible for RN licensure in Florida. They will also have a demonstrated commitment to fostering a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive culture.
