NBNA has tapped the
energy and enthusiasm of its membership around the country
over the past three years, and as a result of executing an
ambitious Campaign, NBNA has experienced:

increase in new members from 710 in 2001 to 962 in 2002
to 1015 in 2003 |

outstanding
educational conferences …1300 nurses, student
nurses and exhibitors joined us at the 2003 NBNA Annual
Institute and Conference in New Orleans;
this compares to 1000 registrants in 2002 at the
Houston conference. Ron Williams, President,
Aetna, was the keynote speaker. The Cardiovascular
Institute was sponsored by the National Heart, Lung and
Blood Institute, NIH. NBNA launched a Career Fair for
150 local students and persons interested in nursing as
a career. A luncheon was hosted by the National Black
Nurses Foundation to discuss the nursing shortage; and
then a plenary session was held on nursing leadership. |
