Associate Dean for International Research and Scholarly Affairs
The School of Nursing at The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) invites applicants for the position of Associate Dean for International Research and Scholarly Affairs. Candidates should be nurse scientists who currently have a focused research program of study at both the national and international level. The ideal candidate should have a distinguished personal record of funded research (preferably the National Institutes of Health or similar external funding agencies); and have a track record in funding of international research. She/he should have a good understanding of federal, foundation, and international funding opportunities, and be able to implement translational research between the nursing and other disciplines on a global level. This position reports to the Dean and is responsible for the development of all international research level, scholarship and activities for faculty and students.
Candidates must have the academic credentials to qualify for a full professor appointment at UCLA. Part of the position (50%) will be faculty responsibilities of teaching, research and service. Candidates must have earned degrees in nursing or related field and teaching experience at the graduate level. Salary will be commensurate with background and experience.
